Jeffrey Epstein Files — Here's What We Know
*this is a sensitive topic, audience discretion is advised
On January 3rd 2024, 40 court documents about Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were made public. These filings are part of the defamation lawsuit brought against Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s associate. Since then, more files have been released to the public.
Maxwell herself was sentenced to 20 years in prison due to her involvement in Epstein’s sex trafficking ring. Epstein was facing up to 45 years in prison (if convicted) but committed suicide in his cell — inside a solitary confinement cell of the Metropolitan Correctional Center, NYC. What is the mainstream media saying about this story?
What is the left saying? Both the left and the right highlight the terrible actions of both Epstein and Maxwell. Here are some headlines: Both Clinton and Trump have denied any claims against them, also claiming they broke off contact with the convicted paedophile. I had a falling out with him. I haven’t spoken to him in 15 years. I was not a fan of his, that I can tell you. In documents, Ms Ransome testified that a friend of hers “had sexual relations with Trump” and Mr Trump caused pain to the victim’s nipples. But since she testified, her statements have been retracted (but she did receive a settlement in 2018). These baseless accusations have been fully retracted because they are simply false and have no merit. | What is the right saying?Similar to the left, the right are again highlighting the terrible actions of those involved: ❝ Clinton ‘likes them young’ Epstein once told victim, according to newly released court docs Former President Bill Clinton’s name was unsealed as “John Doe 36” in the court filings. And, according to court documents, Clinton “likes them young” according to an accuser. Clinton also “threatened” those at Vanity Fair to not publish stories about Epstein in 2011. Prince Andrew is a high-profile figure also named in the Epstein files. Allegations against the Prince have stacked up over the years, and most recently there’s an allegation that he had sex with a 17-year-old trafficked by Epstein. However, the Royal Family has stood by Prince Andrew for years. But since 2019, Andrew stepped down from all royal duties and here’s what he said regarding Epstein in 2019: I continue to unequivocally regret my ill-judged association with Jeffrey Epstein. |
These names aren’t the only ones that were found on the official files, many more notable names are listed below:
Let’s Seek Common Ground, What Are The Facts?
Donald Trump, Bill Clinton & Prince Andrew amongst those on the Epstein files, details above
Michael Jackson & David Copperfield named “friends” of Epstein by accuser
Stephen Hawking was also listed, and in 2015 Epstein offered to pay people to disprove that Hawking was in an “underage orgy”
Many more names were on the list, full list here (being named doesn’t necessarily imply any wrongdoing)
